Cherry chia seed jam

An amazing jam that is done in 20 minutes. It is so much better and healthier than the store bought version.

Ingredients
  1. 3 cups organic frozen cherries. You can also use fresh
  2. 3 tbsp maple syrup
  3. 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  4. 1 tsp vanilla
  5. 3 tbsp chia seeds
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan heat berries over med, heat and bring to a simmer. Stir frequently. Reduce heat to low and simmer for another 5 minutes. With a potato masher, mash the berries until a jam like consistency is achieved. Leave some bits for texture. Add in lemon juice, maple syrup, and vanilla.
  2. Take off the heat and add the chia seeds. Allow mixture to set for about 20-25 minutes or until it thickens up. Store in a mason jar in the fridge. Enjoy!
